Terrariuns As Table Top Decorations

There are many ways in which we can decorate our home with our favorite plants and flowers. We can either plant them in our garden or place them in containers and pots to be displayed in the front porch of the house or even place them indoors depending on your choice. Nowadays, terrariums have become popular not only to gardeners but also to homemakers like me. Terrariums are enclosed, clear containers that are used for growing plants. They provide proper conditions for establishing young or small plants or for allowing snipped parts of plants to take root and develop. You could actually do all of these in a pot or container, but a terrarium seems to be the most used because others would want to see it or observe it up close and with much clearer view.

Humans have innate fondness for natural elements, and nature has the capability to improve health and well-being. The presence of indoor greenery may have this effect as well and might help reduce stress and foster mental restoration but the healing power of terrariums may come more from a person's interaction with it rather than just the view. Table top terrariums are not limited with just the use of plants, but are also a great space for favorite keepsakes, ornaments, or even wine corks from an anniversary.  You can also involve your kids in growing plants with the use of table top terrariums, it is a great way to introduce the concept of personal responsibility and a fantastic avenue for learning about biology and the natural systems.

Whatever your plan with the table top terrariums, always remember to have fun and experiment with new arrangements, do not limit yourself to the basic, always work on that creative side of yours.
