Environment Friendly Garden

Having your own garden at home has always it's advantages and it is one of the most rewarding activities you and your family could enjoy especially when growing your own food. Being able to enjoy delicious fruits, vegetables and herbs from your own and backyard, plus growing your own food impacts mostly you and your family's health as well as the environment. Planting, harvesting and caring for a garden is a great way to get some outdoor exercise and a good stress reliever too. Growing your own food can also save significant money on groceries, it will surely be a big help in cutting the cost of the grocery bill. Not only that you and your family will be able to eat fresher and better tasting foods, you are also sure that your own home grown vegetables and herbs are free from chemical fertilizers and all other pesticides that can be harmful to you and your family's health when eaten.

You could start your own indoor or outdoor garden by buying heirloom kits which could actually find at any supermarkets or at any gardening shop that offers this kind of product. I first started with heirloom pepper kit which I bought online, then after a month of taking good care of them indoors, I transferred them to our backyard, where they can grow freely under the sunlight. After the heirloom pepper kit, I decided to buy the heirloom tomato and cherry tomato kits. I am pretty sure that all of these organic vegetables are a sure hit to me and my family. Not only that, it also has it's environmental advantages.

Knowing that when you grow your own food can actually help in reducing the carbon foot print and can help in protecting air and water quality, a gardener must really be proud of him/herself. Always remember that growing your own fruits, vegetables and herbs does not only provide food on your table but it can also be a great way in improving or enhancing the beauty of your home and garden.
